James (Jimbo) Mullen has been married to Anne Mullen for the past 20 years. They have four children: Titus, Phoebe, Jude and Hadassah and live in Brandon, Florida. Jimbo is an Assistant Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Brandon. In this role, his core duties are the day-to-day and long-term operations of Christ Satisfies Ministries (CSM), which he and Anne founded in October, 2005.

Christ Satisfies originated in Minneapolis, MN, and relocated to the Tampa Bay Area in 2013. Currently, CSM is a ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Pastor Jimbo functions as an urban missionary and is responsible for raising the funds necessary to operate Christ Satisfies Ministries. CSM ministers the gospel to the incarcerated, the homeless, prostitutes & pimps, gang members/drug dealers/troubled youth, and the urban poor.

Prior to founding Christ Satisfies Ministries, Jimbo spent four years sitting under the teaching of Dr. John MacArthur, Jr. at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. There under the tutelage of one of the nation’s foremost Bible teachers and expositors, he grew tremendously in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and began serving in children’s, special needs, and young adults ministries.

In 2005, Jimbo completed biblical studies with a diploma from The Bethlehem Institute (TBI), the teaching arm of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN, which at the time was pastored by Dr. John Piper. In 2015, Jimbo and Christ Satisfies Ministries began to partner with Westminster Presbyterian Church and Pastor Wes Holland. Together they worked on various outreach and evangelism projects in Brandon and Tampa. The church also supported Christ Satisfies Ministries. The partnership grew and in January of 2018 Christ Satisfies Ministries became an official ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church. In the spring of 2018, Jimbo was ordained as a Teaching Elder of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

In addition to his outreach, evangelism, and discipleship ministry in the inner-city areas of Tampa and surrounding his local church in Brandon, Jimbo also ministers the gospel at the Polk County Jail where he teaches 4-5 Bible studies each week to inmates in the faith-based program and jail trustees.

He is grateful for the opportunity to be used of the Lord to further His Kingdom.
